What Makes Swaim Unique? Our furniture is crafted by skilled artisans with a passion for quality. Each piece is handmade, ensuring attention to detail and a unique touch that sets it apart from mass-produced items.
-
Why is Swaim more expensive than some brands?Every piece of furniture that we make is made by hand. We choose only the absolute best materials for our products. That is the way we have done it since 1945. When the rest of the world reduced the quality of their products to compete with the imports, we doubled down on quality. We believe that your furniture should last forever and if you buy Swaim, it will.
-
Can I customize my furniture Order?Yes, you can customize your fabric choice. Size changes and Finish changes are not accepted at this time.

Where is Swaim furniture made? All of our furniture is made right here in High Point, North Carolina. We are very proud that we have kept all the jobs here, our furniture artisans earn a real living wage and that our company helps support the local community. We could certainly reduce our cost by having our product built elsewhere by a third party, but if it is going to have our name on it, it needs to be made by us.
-
Can I trust Swaim Quality sight-unseen?Swaim has been making quality furniture since 1945. Our average employee has been at Swaim more than 20 years. We have continued our commitment to quality in every piece of Swaim that is built. WE DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING TO OUR PRODUCT TO SELL ON-LINE. Each piece is built using the same commitment to excellence we have stood by for 80 years. In addition to our commitment to our product, each piece goes through various states of 30 point Quality Control inspection before it leaves our factory. We also photograph every piece before it is put in a box.
-
Are Swaim cushion covers washable? While many covers may be safe to wash in a machine, we recommend that you do not depart from the manufacturer's cleaning instructions. Since it is impossible to understand how aggressive each machine can be we cannot support washing covers in a machine.

What do I do if my product arrives damaged? While transit damage may sometimes occur, proper documentation is critical in helping us file a damage claim on your behalf. 1. Verify carton quantity and inspect all cartons and product for damage. 2. Sign for only the items that you receive. 3. NOTATE any damage to the box or packaging materials listed on the Bill of Lading. Do not simply sign a clean Bill of Lading if damage is visible or suspected. Damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading. If the Bill of Lading is left “clean”, the carrier is relieved of any further responsibility. 4. Do not refuse merchandise damaged in transit. 5. Photograph the damaged furniture, carton, and all packaging materials. 6. Contact Swaim’s Customer Care depart to file a claim.
